The scandalous situation regarding the bathroom renovations on campus Uilenstede

From 18 September to 14 November, there are renovations of the bathrooms for almost all lower buildings of campus Uilenstede. Although all units will not be renovated at once, according to the planning there will be moments where approximately 25 units will not have a toilet, shower, and bathroom. This means that an estimated number of 350 students have to share 4 showers. In normal circumstances, it is sometimes difficult to share a shower with 6 people. With 90 people it will be impossible.
During this period, students still have to pay the full rent while the basic need of a shower, toilet, and bathroom is barely met.
At the Jacoba van Beierenlaan in Delft, a campus also facilitated by DUWO, there are also bathroom renovations. However, they have one container with two showers and two toilets per unit that is being renovated. That is a lot more than what has been placed on Uilenstede. From this, it can be concluded that DUWO does have the facilities to make the situation a whole lot better than it is at the moment.
To summarize, the current situation regarding the bathroom renovations on campus Uilenstede is inhumane and should be changed as soon as possible. Therefore, on behalf of all affected residents, I kindly ask you to sign this petition.
